Side by side at Langirimi 21. Two kitchens, one welcoming neighbourhood.

At Langirimi 21 in Reykjavík, Aroy Dee and Indian Food Box are neighbours and good friends. Our kitchens bring the flavours of Thailand and India to the same neighbourhood, connected by a love of cooking, warm hospitality and food that makes people feel at home.

A friendship next door

Working next to each other gives us plenty to share. We understand the effort behind a busy kitchen, the pride in a well-prepared dish and the happiness of welcoming returning customers.

That friendship is part of what makes our little corner of Reykjavík special.

Shared spices. Our own traditions.

Thai and Indian cooking both use ingredients such as chilli, garlic, coriander and tamarind, combining them in different ways to create fragrance, warmth and tang. Each tradition has its own recipes and techniques, giving familiar ingredients a different personality on the plate.

At Indian Food Box’s Reykjavík kitchen, you can explore comforting curries, Indian street food and recipes inspired by home cooking.

Their creamy butter chicken makes an inviting introduction, while samosa chaat brings together crisp pastry, chickpeas, chutneys and plenty of texture. There are also vegetarian and vegan options to explore.

Next door at Aroy Dee

Step into Aroy Dee for a taste of Thailand: a bowl of noodle soup, a plate of pad Thai or a meal to share. Our Thai dishes bring another set of flavours to the neighbourhood, with a welcoming place to sit and enjoy them.
